Thanks to all who participated and/or chaperoned the 2007 annual tube slide at Ironwood Springs. I must admit the inky blackness of the completely thawed river was a tad bit disconcerting, but it was not enough to dampen our spirits. Pictures from the event are posted online here. |
The annual voters meeting will be held January 21st at from 9:15 to 10:15 am. Note that this is in place of the Sunday morning Bible Study.
This is your chance to hear the accomplishments of the congregation in 2006 and learn what is planned for 2007.
Did you know that congregation members cannot vote unless they have been received into voting membership at a regular quarterly voters meeting? This meeting counts as a regular meeting, so if you have never voted before, please attend and be registered. This ensures you will be ready if a special voters meeting should arise in the future.
This month we are supporting two missionary programs which spread the Gospel in Russia. One program is “Reaching Out,” a program of the Lutheran Hour Ministry and the ministry of Pastor Daniil Sobolev of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Russia. More information can be viewed on the bulletin board in the narthex at Church.
There are three ways you can contribute to these ministries: the mission envelopes in your offering packet, the coin box included in last Sunday’s bulletin and your free will donation at the ingathering and mission meal on January 21st. Your contribution is a witness to your faith.
We are starting up the Wednesday evening Bible study this week, picking up where we left off in the Book of Acts.
